Quarter 4, lets do this

so september is over

we have 3 more months to end of year

what a year this has been

if stress had a year, then 2018 is the year for me

as i turn over a new year in my life

i pray that q4 brings with it

peace

traquility

rest

travel

and of course

new beginnings

...and then i received this encouragement as i was writing this note

Here is your word for today:

Verse:   Philippians 4:13

'For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.'

- His presence in our lives changes the dynamic of everything around us.
- It takes us from being overcome to becoming overcomers.
- It takes us from struggling and striving to flourishing and thriving.
- Let His strength invade your life, and you will do what seemed impossible.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You will give me Your strength right now. I don't want to operate under my own power, but I want to operate in Your strength and in Your enabling power. Amen.

Have a blessed final quarter of 2018!!

9/11

So September 11th passed two days ago

Highlight was that Hillary Clinton fell ill during the ceremony and had to be helped into her car - hope she gets better!!

Am remembering that day 15 years ago

I saw the events unfold while watching a TV at a restaurant which was on mute...it was after work so around 5pm....I was not paying much attention, I actually thought it was a movie!!

So when I reached home and now saw the news proper i was in shock!!

I related to the twin towers because just the year before i had the honor of undertaking a 6 week internship program in NYC and in one of the evenings, one of my colleagues took me to a restaurant at the 80th floor of this twin tower. Why i could remember it so well was because i was wearing sneakers that day and was turned back and had to take subway back to my room in the International house and wear proper shoes and subway back to this venue!!
I cant imagine what the families have been through

War is bad

War that preys on the innocent is event worse!!

May peace prevail

May peace prevail!!

Am seating here taking a break from work, by glancing at Facebook

Then I see all these images of the guy in green being mercilessly beaten by security agents...the agents seems angry...they seem to have a task to complete....they seem to have been very ready to mete out all their anger on whoever they can tackle to the ground

Am getting scared of what this means….

The guy was already down….why beat him some more and stamp him with heavy boots!!

Someone mentions that the guy passed away!!! (later...on 19th May, he was interviewed, he had survived!)

Makes me even more scared!

Means if you can cornered in whichever place, they can actually beat you up that you are a protestor….waaa

and this is more than 1 year to elections - itakuaje from now?? does it mean its one way or the highway....

God help us!

Surely, dialogue is not a sign of weakness!
